The first active participation, with its own exhibition stand, at the international shipping fair NAVALIA in Vigo from May 21 to 23, 2024 can be seen as a successful entry into mainland Spain from DEUTZ ITALY‘s point of view.
Over 500 exhibitors from home and abroad, in particular hardly any international engine manufacturer was missing, as well as all major Spanish shipyards were represented with their own stands. According to the trade fair organization, over 20,000 visitors from home and abroad were welcomed.
DEUTZ ITALY‘s focus was the presentation of the Niigata HX engines as well as the further developed AHX and AHX dual fuel engines. Together with the Spanish DEUTZ country representative DEUTZ ESPANA, which had done very good preparatory work, all major Spanish shipbuilding yards were visited. The responsible shipyard representatives showed great interest in the name DEUTZ (ITALY and ESPANA) as well as in the well-known Niigata products – they had had good experiences with them in the past.
During the second day of the show, a customer event was held on the exhibition grounds, which was well attended. The many questions asked during the event testified to the great interest in Niigata products.
In keeping with the motto: “Strike while the iron is hot”, further discussions with potential ship owners and shipyards are now needed.
