The appointment with EIMA in November is back, an event held in Bologna from November 9, 2022, where DEUTZ Italy will not be missing. Thanks to the agricultural mechanization fair in the Emilian capital, which brings together professionals and the public, it’s possible to discover the latest innovations in the range of products presented by companies operating in various sectors. A key appointment which, after the 2020 stop due to the covid-19, wants to repeat the success of 2021 with an important return within an exhibition space in the Bologna trade fair district. Among the numerous innovations, DEUTZ will present a series of new engines which will thus be able to further expand the vast range of products for operators in the sector. Let’s see specifically what will be present in the exhibition space of the Bologna event.
PowerTree, the quick charging system launched by DEUTZ
All eyes are on a real jewel that has already left its mark, winning an award that recognizes innovative and sustainable technologies. The DEUTZ PowerTree not only won the Diesel Progress Summit Award but is presented as the most fascinating solution of the year. All with an eye as always to sustainable strategies.
We are talking about a fast-charging system that can be conveniently transported where needed, guaranteeing a charging capacity of up to 150 kW (output voltage of over 800 volts), ideal for charging machines or tractors in a short time (just 20 minutes). It comes with a digital app, the PowerTree Connect, which allows to monitor each charge on site.
The charging station is installed in a 3m portable container, the first ever of its kind. It will therefore be the first unit able to supply energy on site for electric applications, without emissions.
The project is part of the E- Deutz program which was born in 2018 to supply electric and hybrid drive systems to the construction sector.
New engine models by DEUTZ Italy
Thanks to the strong customization, the focus continues to be on endothermic engines with high technological content and compliant with the most recent Stage V emission levels. Several engine models will be officially presented at EIMA 2022 by DEUTZ Italy, offering high-performance solutions with reduced dimensions.
DEUTZ D 1.2 L3
New naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder, direct injection engine with power up to 18 kW (25 hp) with a robust and compact design. The high-efficiency combustion system guarantees high performance, very low noise and consumption levels, compared to the reference range of power. The compactness, the various customization possibilities, and the fact of being EU Stage V and EPA Tier 4 certified, make the D1.2 L3 suitable for various industrial applications.
DEUTZ TCD 2.9 L4 HP (high power 4 cylinders) industrial version
The agricultural version of this engine was already available in 2021, while the version for industrial applications is new for 2022, with a power up to 77 kW@2200 Rpm. It’s a flagship product of the presented range, capable of delivering a truly interesting performance. It offers a common rail system with a displacement of 2.9 liters and is very compact in terms of dimensions. With its HP version it is possible to increase the performance from 55 KW to 77 KW. Its characteristics make it suitable for various applications, also for agricultural tractors.
DEUTZ TCD 5.2 L4
Maintaining a small footprint, the customization of the TCD 5.2 L4 model is presented with a good increase in terms of power, delivering up to 170 kW with a 4-cylinder. From the production of the parent company Deutz AG, the solutions offered by Deutz Italy for customer-side wiring have been added, with the aim of becoming “Plug & Play”.
We are talking about a new engine taking shape from the tested TCD 7.8 L6; equipped with OHV valves (less maintenance required) and designed for specific industrial use. It is a 4-cylinder in-line engine, with an exhaust gas emissions reduction system that is very small in terms of size. The new jewel from Deutz has a power ranging from 100 KW up to 170 KW, ideal for satisfying the diverse needs of manufacturers of industrial machines.
TCD 3.6 L4 engine
Deutz’s best seller, an engine with high performance and maximum technology created to contain emissions. In this case, improvements have been made leading to extremely significant increases in power. Specifically, we are talking about a TCD 3.6 L4 engine with a range from 55 kW up to 105 kW.
For the engine models it produces, Deutz Italy presents a wide range of customization, with different options and customized accessories to satisfy all customer’s needs. This includes adjustments on the air compressor, movable blower, climate and much more.

Each appointment of this caliber represents a reason for improvement in several respects.
