The new updated product line by Torqeedo
Among the new products for electromobility presented in Miami we find the new product line updated by Torqeedo: Cruise engines and a new powerful Deep Blue 50 kW saildrive. The Torqeedo motor boats featured on water are the RAND Mana 23 and an Ocean Renegade R5.

“Despite their higher power ratings, the Cruise motors are still the lightest weight electric outboards in their power classes,” said Steve Trkla, president of Torqeedo Inc. “And the 12.0 and 6.0 models also now come with our advanced TorqLink data network, which simplifies system setup and seamless communication with solar, hydrogeneration and AC generators in hybrid configurations when paired with Torqeedo’s Power 48-5000 lithium-ion batteries.”
Torqeedo’s new high-horsepower Cruise Series engines consist of 3kW, 6kW and 12kW (equivalent to 6-9.9 and 25hp) models in outboard and pod configurations. The engines are designed to work with Torqeedo Power series lithium-ion batteries but can be powered by other batteries or different energy sources, the Cruise engines have been completely redesigned obtaining up to 50% more power, better thermal dissipation, a robust aluminum carriage with integral fin, ultra-quiet and resistant helical gears and an improved throttle function.
The new Deep Blue 50 kW saildrive propulsion system
A new 22kW shore charger and DC interface which simplifies the handling of third-party range extenders are new enhancements to the Deep Blue product range.
Indeed, the new Deep Blue 50 kW saildrive propulsion system, which earned top honors in the prestigious Boat Builder Award competition at the METSTRADE 2021 show, also makes its US debut. The new Deep Blue configuration was developed in collaboration with ZF and was introduced to the market with a Beneteau catamaran Excess 15.

The RAND Mana 23 is a Danish electric day cruiser powered by a 12 kW Cruise outboard with three Power 48-5000 lithium-ion batteries and a TorqLink throttle. The low drag of the hull design allows for a cruising speed of 12 knots. The electric propulsion system is charged by solar panels well hidden under the aft sundeck. The Mana 23 is available for test drives at slipway 306 at the Sea Isle Marina.
The Ocean Renegade R5 presented by Nova Luxe is a luxury electric catamaran with two 25 kW Deep Blue electric motors, 40 kWh Deep Blue battery and regenerative propulsion system for charging under sail on a total of 54 feet. All electrical systems are integrated and controlled via the Torqeedo interface.
