A project that finally comes to life and cannot go unnoticed. The Torqeedo Academy, an appointment by the company to provide training for international sales and service partners, has been launched.
The appointments, which began in late October, are held at the company’s German headquarters in Wessling. The entire course dedicated to clients and partners is managed by Stefan Hirzinger, a highly respected name in the industry. He is a professional with 30 years of experience in developing technical training in the fields of solar energy and electric vehicles. He will lead the Academy, as explained by Fabian Bez, CEO of Torqeedo: but what will be the goals of the entire training?
What led to the birth of the Torqeedo Academy project
Bez himself explained that this academy wants to take care of training so that Torqeedo’s standards can improve and address the target market more broadly. The development of the project stems from the desire to build a center of knowledge, of information in order to bring together a group of people who are capable of leaving their mark on the boating industry. Especially with respect to innovation and the future.
“The electromobility sector is a very dynamic market environment in which it is extremely important to constantly develop knowledge and skills in all areas,” Bez recalled.
Torqeedo partners working in the industry, as well as customers and employees themselves, will thus be able to improve their technological competence, and in a direct way also their performance. They have the opportunity to access useful content related to the world of electrification from the expertise of an industry leader with 18 years of experience in the field.

An expanding network
Although Torqeedo has already built a thick global sales and service network, it has no plans to loosen its grip, especially in terms of growth and customization. This initiative, as is the case with many others, is aimed at building a new customer experience starting from some of the gaps noted in the services offered during these years. Bez himself said:
“There have been times in the past when our after-sales experience has been insufficient, which is why we are now taking action. Our goal is to not only satisfy, but delight Torqeedo owners, from the moment they decide to electrify their boat, through the entire ownership experience.”

This is the active intervention that Torqeedo Academy brings to the table, so it can train future experts in the field. And the results so far are positive: right from the first training courses, the Academy has received good participation from employees. It is sufficient to consider that for the course dedicated to Service Partners, the expected registrations have been doubled.

The future goals of the project
The groundwork has been laid, the first few appointments have been positive: this is the time not to stop. The next step is to offer online content that will then be accessible for anyone who wants it, from Torqeedo owners, to partners, to the general public. The contents will be dedicated not only to the company’s products or services, but will also cover a wide range of topics that focus on sustainable boating, and therefore on electric mobility in water.
In addition, it will soon be possible to register online to receive not only useful information, but also content and notifications about new events organized by Torqeedo Academy.
